Kouka Kids Speech Therapy was founded in 2013 by Kristin Kouka. Kristin had previously worked in outpatient therapy, early intervention, special education preschool, elementary school, and ABA settings. 2015 and 2016 brought the addition of additional speech-language pathologists to our skilled team and helps us to better serve children and their communication needs.

Kristin received her Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 2001 and her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2003. Working with and helping children learn to express themselves is more than just a career, it is a passion. Her areas of experience include apraxia, autism, expressive language delay, articulation and motor speech disorders, word-finding disorders, auditory processing disorders, stuttering, and oral-motor disorders.
Kristin and her husband, Eric, live in Carmel with their three sons.
Amy graduated from Indiana University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. She received her Master of Science degree from Purdue University in 2000. Amy is well loved by the families whose children she works with and has experience providing hospital and outpatient therapy. Amy's areas of expertise include stuttering, apraxia, feeding, and AAC.
Sheri received her Master's degree from Ball State University in 1995. She has a wide range of experience, including First Steps and public schools.
Sheri is passionate about the use of Bal-A-Vis-X in therapy and provides therapeutic riding at Reins of Grace Therapeutic Riding Center in Sheridan, Indiana.
Crystal earned her BS and MS from Indiana University, a Certificate in Applied Computer Science from Purdue University, and a Social Media Certificate from Drury University. She worked for many years as a technology manager at IUPUI. Now, that experience, along with her years of navigating insurance and therapies for her special needs son, are being put to use in processing all of the billing aspects of Kouka Kids. She understands how frustrating and overwhelming insurance and therapy costs can be and strives to provide seamless service to all clients.
Crystal has three children (all who benefited from speech therapy themselves) and a fur baby. She spends her off time doing DIY projects with her husband, being active through daily workouts and running, and enjoying just about anything outdoors with her family.
